In June The Electronic Entertainment Expo 2013 took place at Los Angeles. This great annual trade show for the computer and video games industry is presented by the Entertainment Software Association. E3 is used by many video game developers to present their upcoming games and game-related hardware. The event has a great history and tradition of its own. As a matter of fact, this was already 19th expo and included many industry top-names, including some of Sperasoft’s business partners. Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Sony, and others hosted press conferences during the conference. This was a really great networking opportunity for all seriously involved in gamedev business.
Microsoft showcasing new games for next-generation Xbox One was a real highlight of the expo. But before it even got to the Xbox One, Microsoft announced a revamped 360 console. The new style mimics the design of the upcoming Xbox One. The system looks sleeker, boxier, and shinier now.
This was also a great chance to see presentations of some great new game titles designed for PS4. Electronic Arts showcased a really wide selection of new really great titles. The crowd was highly excited at “Star Wars Battlefront” debut. The EA Sports franchise presented several titles along with “FIFA 14”. Next, developers from DICE took the stage to show off demo for “Battlefield 4”, which was also really impressive. EA and Bioware also showed a glimpse of “Dragon Age Inquisition”, the third in the “Dragon Age” series.
